October 18th, 2023. Our Design class took a tour of Pride Neon Signs. Pride Neon Signs is a company that services and manufactures custom signs for many companies around the Midwest. They have been a family-owned business for over 70 years and is currently owned by brothers Dick, Bret, and Mitch Menke.
Mitch Menke guided us through the tour first telling us the history and showing us some old designs of signs that his grandfather did when the company was first established. We then met Matt, the head of design, and he told us all about what he does, his duties, and all the programs that he uses. They even talked about a new program that they are training to use. The new program allows them to make 3D designs.
Overall I really enjoyed this tour and I have plenty more to talk about from the tour we went on.
