My next CD is an EP by BoySetsFire called “This Crying, This Screaming, My Voice is Being Born”. BoySetsFire is a Progressive hardcore rock band formed in 1994, in Delaware. This EP was released in 2000. It has 6 songs on it and a run time of around 21 minutes.
MY OPINION
This is a very solid EP. I feel like it has the hardcore sound mixed with some 90s emo. Similar to bands like Sunny Day Real Estate. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were influenced by them. But I really do like this EP, my favorite song is Blame. The recording of Blame on this is a live recording too, which makes it a lot cooler. I didn’t even know it was live until I looked at it.
